In 2023, in Zurich, Switzerland, the idea for CRYLO® emerged from a simple question: how can people invest in digital assets with the same discipline and risk controls as traditional portfolios? From early prototypes to today’s AI-driven wealth manager, CRYLO’s history is a series of clear steps toward making crypto investing structured, transparent, and easier to use.
The Spark of Innovation
It all started with Marcel Isler, a visionary entrepreneur with expertise in Web3 and finance. He noticed a glaring issue: while digital assets held massive potential, only 4.2% of the global population owned cryptocurrencies. The reasons were obvious: complexity, volatility and a lack of trust kept everyday investors at bay.
Marcel envisioned a world where anyone, regardless of technical know-how, could invest in digital assets just as effortlessly as they would in traditional financial instruments. To bring this vision to life, he brought together a team of experts, including Dr. Almagul Kondybayeva, who has 11 years of experience in Web3, AI, and ML programming, and Andriy Shestakov, who has 18 years of experience in banking and quantitative finance. They are advised externally by leading specialists from the Lucerne University (HSLU) and ETH Zurich AI Center. Their mission? To democratize crypto investing.
